GSPL Transmission Limited (erstwhile GSPL) along with its consortium partners Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has been awarded authorisation by PNGRB on July 7, 2011 to construct approx. 1,670 km cross country natural gas pipeline from Mehsana in North Gujarat to Bhatinda in Punjab (MBPL) and approx. 740 km cross country natural gas pipeline from Bhatinda to Gurdaspur (earlier BJSPL) along with associated spurlines.

In the consortium, IOC has 26% and HPCL and BPCL have 11% each, while remaining share is with GTL.

The transmission network of the company envisages development of systematic and seamless pipeline network across Gujarat connecting various suppliers and users. The suppliers of natural gas include traders, producers and LNG terminals. The users comprise industries such as power, fertilizer, steel, chemical plants and local distribution companies.

GSPL Transmission Limited (GTL)

GTL (erstwhile GSPL) is engaged in transportation of Natural gas through pipelines connecting various supply and demand centres in Gujarat region.

2795 kms of gas pipeline commissioned from Vapi- Hazira-Bharuch-Vadodara-Ahmedabad-Kalol-Himmatnagar-Mehsana-Palanpur- Rajkot-Morbi-Anjar-Jamnagar-Jafrabad and many areas enroute. The company transported over 29.07 MMSCMD of natural gas during H1 2025-26. GTL carries out transportation of gas for industrial customers operating in power, fertilizer, steel, chemical sectors and also for CGD sector to ensure last mile availability to commercial establishments, vehicles and households across Gujarat.

IndianOil reported Revenue from Operations of ₹845,513 crores in FY 2024-25, while Net Profit for FY 2024-25 was reported as ₹12,962 crores.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is one of the largest public sector enterprises under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India and continues to be accorded the prestigious ‘Maharatna’ status.

HPCL has established the second-largest cross-country product pipeline infrastructure in India and is commanding 13.87% of India’s refining capacity, as well as, holds a 20.54% share of the domestic petroleum products market. HPCL reported Revenue from Operations of ₹466,345 crores in FY 2024-25, while Standalone Profit after tax for FY 2024-25 was reported as ₹7365 crores.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)

Bharat Petroleum, India’s second-largest public sector oil marketing and a Fortune 500 integrated energy company has established a robust presence across the entire energy value chain. In the financial year 2024-25, BPCL Group achieved Gross Revenue from Operations of Rs. 500,517 crores, while Net Profit attributable to BPCL stood at Rs. 13,336 crores.

GSPL India Gasnet Ltd, henceforth called as GIGL has been incorporated as an SPV for the purpose of implementing above pipeline projects in October 2011.

GSPL India Gasnet Limited (GIGL), is a pioneer in developing energy transportation infrastructure and connecting Natural gas supply sources with various customers across the country. GIGL is continuously expanding its pipeline network to reach the demand centers by laying gas pipeline network. The company has developed requisite expertise and confidence with proven project management competencies.

GSPL India Gasnet Limited has been successfully operating and efficiently managing its 1300 kms interstate network since December 2018.
