GIGL is developing following cross-country pipeline projects :
Mehsana Bathinda Pipeline Project (MBPL) :
Salient features of MBPL :- MBPL Trunkline is a 30” dia (API 5L Grade X70) pipeline having various spur lines along the route, accounting to a total of approx. 1440 kms network. MBPL traverses through the states of Gujarat (approx. 47kms), Rajasthan (approx. 1000 kms), Haryana (approx. 258 kms) and Punjab (approx. 96 kms).
- Entire pipeline is 3LPE (three layered polyethylene) coated supplemented by Impressed current Cathodic Protection system in order to protect the pipeline from external corrosion. Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) of the pipeline is 98.0 bar(g).
- MBPL project is aimed to cater the demand of Gujarat covering 1 district, almost entire state of Rajasthan covering 13 districts, Haryana covering 6 districts and Punjab state covering 1 district.
- The pipeline enroute crosses approx. 26 major Railway lines, 33 National Highways, 47 State Highways, 450 Rivers/canals & various other foreign pipelines. GIGL has secured the comfort by obtaining all the permissions.
Bhatinda-Gurdaspur Pipeline Project (BGPL) :
Apart from Mehsana Bathinda Pipeline Project, GIGL is also developing Bathinda Gurdaspur Pipeline (BGPL) Project that starts from Punjab (Bhatinda) to Gurdaspur (Originally, it was the Bathinda-Jammu-Srinagar pipeline project, but the Jammu-Srinagar section was later surrendered to PNGRB).
Salient features of BJSPL :- BGPL Trunkline is a 24” dia (API 5L Grade X70) pipeline having various spur lines along the route, accounting to a total of approx. 231 kms network. MGPL traverses through the states of Punjab.
- Entire pipeline is 3LPE (three layered polyethylene) coated supplemented by Impressed current Cathodic Protection system inorder to protect the pipeline for external corrosion. Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) of the pipeline is 98.0 bar(g).
- BGPL project is aimed to cater the demand of entire state of Punjab covering 10 districts.
- The pipeline enroute crosses approx. 9 major Railway lines, 10 National Highways, 8 State Highways and 130 Rivers/canals. All crossing permissions have been obtained by GIGL.
