GSPL India Transco Ltd. (GITL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) incorporated on October 2011, which is a consortium of Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) now GSPL Transmission Limited (GTL) holding 52% equity, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) - 26%, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) – 11% & Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) – 11%.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorized GITL to construct 1,881 km cross country natural gas pipeline from Mallavaram in Andhra Pradesh to Bhilwara in Rajasthan (MBBVPL). Once fully developed the pipeline will be connected to majority of gas sources in india and will cater to customers in 6 states namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
