PNGRB has authorized GSPL India Transco Ltd. (GITL) to execute Mallavaram - Bhopal - Bhilwara - Vijaipur Cross Country Natural Gas Pipeline Project (MBBVPL). In addition to this PNGRB has authorized GITL to execute Dahod-Ratlam pipeline connectivity to MBBVPL on 28 January 2014. The combined length of the project will be approx 1881 Km.
Once fully developed the pipeline will traverse through 34 districts across 6 states namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The pipeline will connect to major gas sources in east coast and west coast of the country and will cater to customers in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The project will help to develop/promote gas based industries such as Fertilizers, Gas based power plants, Refineries, Ceramic Industry, Glass Industry etc. The project will also connect CGD’s along the pipeline route thereby contributing to Government of India’s vision of increasing share of natural gas in the energy basket. Further, the project will provide access to cleaner fuel to our fellow citizens in the form of PNG/CNG by catering to CGD’s along the pipeline route.
